Welcome to my blog and online journal, The Perennial Journey.  

It's Perennial because my lived experience is a shared experience, the variation of a theme repeated countless times in so many others' lives who've chosen or been called into the interior life of contemplation.

It's a Journey with many twists and turns, defined by the  unearned fruit of a surrender Fr. Richard Rohr refers to as "falling upward."  The ascent is borne of many descents and is unmistakably subtle, observable over lengthy stretches  -  a changing landscape viewed through passenger windows on the road of life.  

This ongoing collection of  entries are sometimes intimate, other times topical, and always personal.  I pray this journal will itself become one more opportunity for deep surrender and be for those who share this journey with me a reminder that you are not alone.
