OBSCENE INEQUALITY

I’ve been doing inner-child work with my therapist, and I’m making significant progress toward resolving the issues undergirding each of them.  Each of them represent deep wounds, which generally turn in against me in the form of shame, anger, and depression when they’re triggered.  I do occasionally experience them projected outwardly, in slightly modified form, against the external world.  One inner child considers itself an old soul (masquerades, more likely) who’s seen the world for what it is and carries a sharp sword that cuts straight through bullshit answers.

I have my eye on him today, as he has not failed to mention the Oxfam annual Wealth Report on global wealth distribution.  The world's 85 richest people - a number that could comfortably sit in a single double-decker bus - control as much wealth as the poorest half of the world's population together.  That's 85:3,500,000,000.  So in his typical brazen style, he wonders why the fuck any of this matters.  What kind of shit-heap people are we to create political, fiscal, and economic structures aligned to enable this type of brazen plundering?
